The new year is kicking off with some seriously tasty pies at Pepp's Pizzeria!! This month, we were excited to welcome Michele Crouse, known to her students as Ms. Michele, a dedicated preschool teacher at the Wallace/JELA building in Johnston, IA. Ms. Michele brought her warmth and enthusiasm to Pepp’s to try out our January specials, including the bold Spicy Hawaiian and the delicious Walking Taco Pizza!
The Walking Taco Pizza starts with a jalapeño cheese sauce base, giving it a fun twist on Pepp’s classic taco pizza. Loaded with chips, cheese, meat, and crunchy toppings, this one brings serious flavor and texture to every bite.
Ms. Michele was a big fan and didn’t hold back: “This pizza is absolutely amazing. Super fresh, lots of cheese, lots of toppings, lots of meat on there. And the crust is amazing. If you like a walking taco pizza, you need to come to Pepp’s and try this. Well worth it!”
The Spicy Hawaiian Pizza brings the heat in the best way. Topped with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, fresh pineapple, and a sriracha mayo drizzle, it delivers a bold sweet-and-spicy bite. Who says pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza?
Ms. Michele said: “Oh wow, the sauce is amazing! Look at all the pepperonis and fresh pineapple that’s on there. There’s nothing more delicious than having a little bit of spice on the pizza. That pineapple with the sriracha makes it a little bit sweet, a little bit spicy. It’s a good blend together. Very delicious!”
The BLT Pizza has a mayo base and is topped with mozzarella, crispy bacon, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and parmesan for a fresh, loaded bite that hits every time.
Ms. Michele raved: “BLTs are one of my go-tos, one of my fan favorites. And look at this, how amazing this crust is. It has tons of toppings on there, looks so fresh, and smells delicious. The bacon on here is so so good! You need to come in and get this!"
It’s no surprise that the BLT Pizza was Ms. Michele’s top pick this month! With a mayo base, crispy bacon, and fresh toppings all on our 24-hour cold fermented dough, it’s easy to see why she loved it so much.
Ms. Michele said it best: “All three of these pizzas are amazing, but I’m going to have to give the gold star to the delicious BLT! The crust was perfect, the bacon crunchy, and I loved the lettuce on there. Come get this, it’s well worth it!”
