

April is bringing the heat at Pepp’s Pizzeria in Urbandale and let’s just say these specials were built for a championship month.
This time around, we’re welcoming Brett Delaney to the table. Brett is a teacher and coach at Northview Middle School in Ankeny, Iowa, and he came ready to break down each pizza like it’s game film.
We let the pizzas do the talking, and the teacher do the grading. Here’s how it all played out:

A Pepp’s fan-favorite makes its return to the plate (menu). Creamy, crispy, and loaded with real crab flavor, all on our signature 24-hour cold fermented crust.
“The crust feels good. Nice undercarriage. I love the crunch. You can really taste the crab in here… I had to take another bite.”

A bold, flavor-packed pizza with chicken, bacon, cheese, and a jalapeño kick that comes through strong at the finish. But the most important ingredient? The PIMENTO CHEESE!
“I love the spice… that late kick is top notch. This is a championship type of pizza for a championship type of month.”
Safe to say, this one made a statement. The perfect pick for Masters week.


This one’s a Cajun-inspired ‘za featuring andouille sausage, parmesan, and a surprising crunch from celery that brings it all together.
“I like that bite of sausage… it gives it that true Cajun flavor. And that last crunch with the celery—really good.”
A unique flavor combo that delivers.


Have you heard of the new “BigArch sandwich?” Think that…but on a pizza. Loaded, saucy, and topped with pickles for a classic finish.
“You can tell by the weight of this pizza... it’s loaded. I'm not a true hamburger type of pizza guy, but if you’re a cheeseburger connoisseur, then this is the pizza for you.”


A meat-lover’s dream stacked with protein, onion strings, BBQ sauce, and a little jalapeño heat at the end.
“This is one you eat after a hard workout… it’s got all the meat, all the seasoning. And then that kick at the end.”
Basically, if you’re super hungry, this is the one you’re ordering.

“After trying all the monthly specials, I’m giving my gold star to The Green Jacket for a Masters month and the amazing flavors it brings out.”
A little spice, a lot of flavor, and a finish that sealed the deal. The Green Jacket takes Mr. Delaney’s top spot.
