Pepp’s Pizzeria was founded to honor “Pepp,” a true pizza aficionado and home-chef hobbyist whose obsession with the perfect cheese pull and golden crust led him from the streets of Florence, Italy to the pizzerias of New York. After indulging in hundreds of slices from the best in the business, Pepp returned to his home kitchen in Des Moines with one goal: craft the perfect pie. Years of testing, tweaking, and obsessing over the details eventually led to something special.
At first, Pepp shared his creations with close friends and family. Those early pizza nights became something more than a meal — they turned into a reason to gather, laugh, and make memories. People came for the pizza, but stayed for the feeling it created: warm, welcoming, and unmistakably home. That’s the energy we bring to every slice we serve today.
